An Okoboji Classic Returns August 24, 2022

The Summer Sizzler inaugural in 2018 had a sold out event of 300+ Democrat voters and activists, led by the legendary Northwest Iowa Congressman Berkley Bedell.. In 2019, another sold out event, the speakers included Senator Amy Klobuchar, Congressman John K. Delaney, Admiral Joe Sestak, Eddie Mauro, and J.D. Scholten. In 2022, we are excited to have a large slate of confirmed speakers, including, Deidre DeJear-candidate for Governor, Eric Van Lancker-candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Admiral Michael Franken-candidate for U.S. Senate, Tom Miller-IA Attorney General, Joel Miller-candidate for Secretary of State, John Norwood-candidate for Secretary of Agriculture, J.D. Scholten-candidate for IA House District 1, Senator Jackie Smith-candidate for the new IA Senate District 1, and Iowa Democratic Party Chair Ross Wilburn. Click here to buy your ticket.

One General Admission Ticket includes dinner from the Back Alley BBQ on a first-come, first-serve seat at the event. Attendees can also mix and mingle in the booth area where campaigns have been invited to send representatives and give away swag.
