The Summer Sizzler inaugural in 2018 had a sold out event of 300+ Democrat voters and activists, led by the legendary Northwest Iowa Congressman Berkley Bedell. In 2019 and 2022, another sold out events, highlighted by engaging speakers on the state and national level. In 2026, we are excited to have a large slate of speakers, starting off with Josh Turek-candidate for U. S. Senate, Dave Dawson-candidate for IA House, District 4, Dave Muhlbauer-candidate for Lieutantat Governor, J.D. Scholten-IA House District 4, Chris Jones-candidate for Secretary of Agriculture, Nate Willems-candidate for Attorney General, John Norwood-State Treasurer, and Rachel Gravert-Independent candidate for IA Senate, District 5.

One General Admission Ticket ($40) includes a pulled BBQ pork dinner from the Back Alley BBQ can be purchased online. Attendees can mix and mingle at the various campaign booths. Limited meal tickets can be purchased at the door. To attend without a meal, tickets ($20) can only be purchased at the door, limited seating, Cash bar available.
